We’re happy to announce that GuideStar/Candid continues to recognize The BART Foundation with its Gold Star Seal of Transparency. GuideStar is the premier organization that assesses and rates charities, and the Gold Star Seal level is only given to the top-ranking 1% of millions of 501(c)(3)s. Knowledgeable donors consult rankings to determine a charity’s trustworthiness. This accomplishment is a tribute to our board members’ hard work and the support of our loyal supporters.
When an organization earns a Seal of Transparency, it becomes more visible not just on Candid’s site but also on more than 200 partner platforms, including Facebook, Network for Good, and donor-advised funds. We have earned the GuideStar/Candid Seals of Transparency for many years by contributing information about our mission, staff and leadership, programs, goals, fundraising activities, expenditures, and more.
The BART Foundation operates as a “lean, mean, TBI-healing machine” of volunteers and advisors who generously donate their time and expertise. Still, every year, we incur expenses necessary to keep our programming and advocacy work available at NO COST to the TBI/ABI community and general public.
Our fundraising activities help to cover these expenses:
Remember, no contribution is too small, and every bit helps. Donating is simple and can be done through our PayPal account. If you would like to send a check, our address is:
